"Easy to Forget Me" is the ninth track off of Cimorelli's debut album Up At Night.
Background[]
"Easy To Forget Me" was written by Amy, Christina, Katherine, and Lauren. Lyrically, it was written about Amy's struggles with friendship, but in the context of the album's overarching story it, along with Before October's Gone, focuses on themes of rejection in the sense of being forgotten easily by a former love.
Lyrics[]
[Amy]
I won't call you cause I know
You won't pick up
I still don't know what happened
And it's been months
[Lisa]
Do you remember
When you called me up at one in the morning
The time you told me you could trust me more
Than anyone
Cause I still remember everything
[Dani]
We're in the same town
But you're nowhere to be found
[Amy]
So tell me now
Do you ever miss me?
How could you just walk away
Is it that easy to forget me?
Cause all I know
Is that we were so close and now it's like
I don't know you anymore
And I just gotta know
Is it that easy to forget me?
[Lisa]
Is it that easy to forget me?
Forget me
[Christina]
I never thought that we'd
End up like this
Cause you were the one that
I could always count on
And now there's nothing left
No evidence
That I was ever in your life
But I'm still the same
So why did you change?
[Dani]
We're in the same town
But you're nowhere to be found
[Amy]
So tell me now
Do you ever miss me?
How could you just walk away
Is it that easy to forget me?
Cause all I know
Is that we were so close and now it's like
I don't know you anymore
And I just gotta know
Is it that easy to forget me?
[Katherine]
How did we end up strangers
[Lauren]
What would I say
If I ever saw you again
[Katherine]
And I don't wanna care so bad
[Lauren]
So why do I keep holding on?
[Lisa]
I keep holding on
[Dani]
I put the phone down
I'm done waiting to be found
{sigh}
[Amy]
So tell me now
Do you ever miss me?
How could you just walk away
Is it that easy to forget me?
Cause all I know
Is that we were so close and now it's like
I don't know you anymore
And I just gotta know
Is it that easy to forget me?
[Lisa]
Easy, forget me
Easy, forget me
Easy, forget me
Easy, forget me
